Overview
Yellow Goldenback Shrimp are a selectively bred colour variety of Neocaridina davidi, recognised for their vivid yellow colour and distinctive lighter stripe running along the back.
Their bright appearance stands out especially well against dark substrate, green plants and natural hardscape.
Like other Neocaridina shrimp, they do best in mature, stable planted aquariums with gentle filtration and plenty of surfaces for grazing.
Yellow Goldenback Shrimp graze naturally on algae and biofilm and can be supplemented with quality shrimp food and occasional vegetables.
Peaceful, active and constantly grazing throughout the aquarium.
Females carry eggs beneath the abdomen until fully formed baby shrimp hatch.
Yellow Goldenback Shrimp will only become available once healthy, stable breeding colonies have been established.
